株式会社GSIクレオスは、東京に本社を構え、繊維、衣料（インナーおよびアウター）、機械、化成品、理化学機器、ホビー（模型）をはじめ多数の製品を取り扱う貿易会社です。株式会社GSIクレオスは、2001年にグンゼ産業株式会社から現在の社名に変更しました。クレオス（Cre-Reo-Eos）は、創造（Creation）、Reorient（新しい方向付け）、そしてイオス（Eos）を合わせた造語です。イオスはギリシャ神話に登場する暁の女神で、イネスの「新時代の暁」にある当社を代表する神として適切です。そしてグローバルな洗練された知性（Global Sophisticated Intelligence）の略語がGSIです。社名「GSIクレオス」は、新しく、ハイテクで、プロフェッショナルで、革新的な生産性と、商業界における新しい事業を生み出す能力を表しています。これらのコンセプトは、企業モットーである「次代を創る」に表明されている使命を映し出しています。
